Results and highlights from the South Shore of Thursday
Oliver Ames High’s men’s soccer team continued their strong start to the season Thursday with a 2-0 victory over Foxboro in action from the Davenport Division of the Hockomock League.
Clide Neau and Joey Carney scored to lead OA (6-1) to a home win.
Antonio Fernandes and Casey Milliken collected assists, goaltender Alexander Priajinski recorded his fourth shutout of the season and Mathias Taylor also played well for the Tigers.

FOOTBALL BOYS
BC High 5, Catholic Malden 0: Matt Studley led the Eagles to a Catholic Conference victory. BC High coach Billy Ryan has been named to the Eastern Massachusetts Soccer Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
Milton 4, Natick 2: Junior Christopher Rhoden had a hat trick and Ardic Ceranoglu scored his first college goal for the visiting Wildcats. Joe Salmon and Justin Gomes got assists.
Holbrook 5, Christian Academy of the South Shore 1: Will Haney scored four goals and Jack Poppenga added one for the Bulldogs.
West Bridgewater 1, Westport 1: Derek Thorburn scored the only goal while Aiden Reynolds played well in goal.
Marshfield 5, Whitman-Hanson 2: Junior Cody Holbert took a hard hit for the Rams (5-2-1). Luke Twomey and Fionn Hamilton also scored.

Newton North 2, Braintree 1: Host Wamps (3-2-3) fell to Newton North (7-0-3).
GIRLS FOOTBALL
Braintree 2, Newton North 0: Juniors Amaya Howell and Neillie Tuite (from the penalty spot) scored for the Wamps (2-5-1, 1-4-1) in the Bay State Conference road victory. Hailey Sherrick had an assist and goaltender Emily Day recorded her first career college shutout. Jordny Bello and Ally Mello had strong defensive plays.

Blue Hills 5, Sunday 2: Rookie Kathleen Murphy and sophomore Rose Ferguson of Holbrook each scored two goals, and senior Bella Prisco (Holbrook) also scored to lead the Warriors to a home victory. Senior Ali Joyce (Avon) and sophomore Emily Lehane (Braintree) collected assists.
Bridgewater-Raynham 2, Nauset 1: Senior Emily Shea equalized in the 78th minute and junior Lily Ford netted a Nauset defender’s game-winning goal with just seconds left as the Trojans rallied at home. Casey Connors assisted on Shea’s goal.
West Bridgewater 9, Westport 1: Rachael Geniuch, Kylie Fuller, Arianna Georgantas, Eva Adams, Amanda Jacques and Natalie Fredericksen all played offensively for the Wildcats (7-1).
Holbrook 8, Christian Academy of the South Shore 0: Emily Cochran (three goals) and Madison Pires-Depina (two) led the way for the Bulldogs.
Foxboro 2, Oliver Ames 1: Camryn O’Connor scored for OA (6-1-1), assisted by Lauren Sellmayer. Kyla Melton and Mary Cross have had strong games for the Tigers.
Notre-Dame Academy 5, Brockton 0: Siobhan Colin scored two goals and an assist, and Jenna Savaria (goal, assist), Sydney Comeau (goal, assist) and Lola Paradis (goal) were also the stars of the NDA’s victory (8-0 -1) on the road.
GOLF FOR BOYS
Bridgewater-Raynham 141, New Bedford 90: Luke Taylor and Ryan Manning each shot 2 of 38 to score 25 points scoring Stableford as BR (6-3) won at the Whaling City Golf Course. Justin Peters shot 39 for 24 points.
Oliver Ames 150, Stoughton 196: Senior Jo Jo Gaultier was a weak medalist with an Under 34 score that included four birdies as OA (7-3) won at Easton Country Club. Jake Kaplan senior shot 38, and Sean Kearns and David Rodgers each shot 39.
Plymouth South 253, Whitman-Hanson 267: Freshman Cooper Britton shot his best lap of the season, a 6 of 40, but WH lost at Ridder Farm Golf Course.
Dartmouth 118, Brockton 77: In the loss to Allendale Country Club, senior co-captain Jimmy Dragonetti led the Boxers with a 4 of 40 record for 23 points.
Carver 92, Cohasset 78: The Crusaders won their first while Finn Manning took home the medalist.
Duxbury 229, Pembroke 251: Brady McKeon of Pembroke clocked a career-high 38 in the loss to the Titans (3-7).
Scituate 244, Marshfield 260: Austin Ryan (38) was the weak medalist while John Kinsley (40) and Sam Benning (40) also performed well for the Sailors (9-2).
Hingham sweeps: Carson Erick shot a tie 36 as Hingham claimed wins over Silver Lake, 240-261, and Quincy, 240-302.
Bishop Stang 168, Archbishop Williams 136: Andrew Marcotte had 29 points for the Bishops in the loss to Country Club in New Bedford.
West Bridgewater 8.5, Blue Hills 0.5: The Wildcats won at Ponkapoag Golf Course.
FIELD HOCKEY
Hingham 2, Scituate 0: Becca Kardoos recorded the shutout in net while Abbey Kennedy controlled the midfield for unbeaten Harborwomen (7-0). Julia Glennon and Shea Berigan scored.
Middleboro 1, East Bridgewater 0: Patience Beasley scored the only winning goal. Cassidy Machado also played well.
Braintree 3, Framingham 1: Emerson Hannigan and Maggie Carey scored second-half goals to lift the Wamps to victory on Wednesday. Bridget Lee scored the other goal.
Cohasset 2, Carver 0: The Skippers improve to 6-1. Carver goaltender Ali Perry made 25 saves, and the Crusaders got solid defensive plays from Izzy Mercer, Ashleigh Johnson and Abby Johnson.
Marshfield 1, Hanover 0: Sophomore Alanna Devlin scored with three minutes left, assisted by Hannah Cochran, to take the Rams (6-1-2, 2-0-2) to a Patriot League road victory. Goalkeeper Cat Daoulas made eight saves for the shutout.
Whitman-Hanson 3, Duxbury 0: Ally Ayers, Joli Flamos and Paige Cosgrove scored as the Panthers (1-5-1) won at home. WH players wore t-shirts with gold ribbons to show their support for the fight against pediatric cancer.
Plymouth North 3, Silver Lake 3: Emily Jenkins scored twice and Caroline Egan added a goal for North in the Patriot League road draw. Bella Piekarski had two assists.
CROSS COUNTRY BOYS
Middleboro 19, Abington 37: The Sachems took the top four places to improve to 3-1.
CROSS COUNTRY GIRLS
Middleboro 24, Abington 37: The Sachems (4-0) had eight of the top 10.
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
Quincy 3, Pembroke 0: The Presidents (8-1) had 15 aces, 32 kills and 42 team recoveries in road wins 25-8, 25-18, 25-14.
Scituate 3, Norwell 2: The Sailors signed their first victory of the season.
