Northland Christian School Appoints Superintendent | Schools
Northland Christian Schools has appointed Bryan Prewitt as Superintendent. Prewitt was appointed acting superintendent earlier this year and had previously served as a high school principal.
With a 30 year career in education, Prewitt most recently worked at Lone Jack. He received his BA in Education from William Jewel College in Liberty, his MA in Secondary Administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and his Specialist in Education Superintendency Diploma from the University of Central Missouri.
Northland Christian is a private K-12 school system with its main campus at 10500 N. Arrowhead Trafficway, Kansas City, and a K-5 campus near Liberty at 7700 N. Church Road. The school is doubly accredited by ACSI and AdvanceED and has 443 students. Northland Christian is a member of the MSHAA and offers a variety of extracurricular activities for students, including participation in the Northland CAPS program.
Prewitt will lead a team of 62 educators and administrators.
He and his wife Tammy are members of Discover Church. They have been married for 39 years and have three adult children and four grandchildren.
“I accepted Christ when I was 8, and it’s so wonderful to be in a school environment where I can talk to children of all ages about God’s love and the plan for their lives,” Prewitt said.
