Florida State continues to assemble its 2022 class with the latest addition, the four-star striker De’ante green from Asheville Christian Academy in North Carolina.

“First of all, I would like to thank the Lord above. Because without him I am nothing,” Green said in his engagement video. “Thank you mom and dad for pushing me to be the best I can be and for always believing in me.”

Green continues to thank more friends and family. He also thanks all the coaches who have coached him over the years.

“Thank you to all the college coaches who recruited me and spent time getting to know me and my family. I had so many opportunities,” he continued. “That being said, I will be bringing my talents to Florida State University.”

The 6-foot-9, 215-pound forward chose FSU over State of North Carolina, Wake Forest and Tennessee. The Seminoles finally beat the Wolfpack.

FSU hosted Green on an official visit over the weekend of September 24. He informed the FSU of his intention to be a Seminole during this visit. He had previously explained why the FSU was in conflict with him.

“They develop people like me and one of my best friends, Caleb Mills, just transferred there, so that plays a big part, ”Green previously told 247Sports.com.

Jerry Meyer, national basketball recruiting analyst for 247Sports.com, wrote about Green earlier on Sunday.

“A versatile and skilled tall man with a shooting twist, Green is ranked # 92 by 247Sports and # 128 in the 247Sports Composite. I do, however, sense the potential for him to surpass his current ranking in college,” Meyer wrote.

Meyer’s full screening report on Green is below.

Has a strong frame at 6-9 and has the lower body strength to play with a strong foundation. Not overly athletic in terms of explosiveness but he is a natural athlete with long strides and a quality body. Is a four stretch with an efficient stroke and quick release with advanced footwork. Handles the ball comfortably and can attack the basket by repelling the threat of his outside shot. Likes to finish a two-way rotation of his workouts. Can end with either hand. Is a solid rebounder who will only get better in this and other areas with added strength expected. More of a finisher than a passer at this point. Has the potential to be a strong defender at post and on the perimeter as a great man. Like his advantage as a stretched four who is comfortable with the ball in his hands.

He transferred to Asheville Christian from Christ School mid-season and helped ACA win a state title. He also had a strong summer performance with the CP3 team.

Green is the third member of Leonard Hamiltonclass 2022. He joined the four-star center Cameron Corhen from Sunrise Christian in Kansas and wing not yet classified Tom’s house of Centerville, Ohio.

FSU is looking to sign between four and six prospects in its 2022 class. Key remaining targets include five-star strikers Julien phillips and Dillon mitchell. Phillips is at Link Year Prep in Missouri, while Mitchell is at Montverde Academy in Florida. The Seminoles have also expressed interest in a four-star guard combo. Chandler Jackson of the Christian Brothers of Tennessee.

The early signing period for men’s basketball begins November 10 and lasts until November 17.
